Welcome, I'm Emily!

A womenswear designer and artist.

I have a foundation in apparel design, couture construction, textiles and natural dye chemistry.

My passion is to craft collections attuned with nature using ethical and sustainable methods

Where does the thread begin?

poojariver.png

wander to see

Indigo and iron dyed  silks, and a crisp cotton shirtdress
the thread begins at the edge of salt and wind,

Striations reminiscent of tree trunks and stone the thread returns to a quiet place in the woods.

knowing that every beginning is a circle.

Then comes indigo & goldenrod,
meadow-flower taffeta

catching daylight,
the thread becomes

a conversation.

In the madder-dyed wake of early making,
the thread continuously spinning
a blush that runs deeper than red.
